Carbolytic Materials Company, LLC (CMC) celebrated in November the groundbreaking of their premiere manufacturing facility to be located in Maryville, Missouri

The new facility will include production space in addition to which CMC will lease space for a research and development laboratory in the Northwest Missouri State University Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

The manufacturing facility will allow CMC to process significant volumes of tire shred yearly to produce their proprietary ApexCM™ carbon black replacement material.   This recovered carbon black can be used in automotive, agricultural, construction, and industrial rubber applications. It is a lower cost and environmentally responsible alternative to traditional carbon black.

Dr. Frank Gerberich, VP of Business Development, states that "Carbolytic Materials Company is delighted with this ground breaking to be starting construction of our facility in Maryville, Missouri.  We look forward to the completion of CMC's new facility and building our company as a contributing member of this community."
